Vijaya Dashami is one of the important and fascinating festivals of Hindus which is celebrated in the lunar month of Ashwin (September or October). It is celebrated from

sukla pakshya pratipada (next after the new moon day) to the day of full moon . It is also the national festival of Nepal and many people in India too celebrate this festval.

The festival begins with Durga Puja (the worshipping of Goddess Durga) which is also known as Navaratri so for the first day the Divine mother Goddess Durga is worshipped and invoked in different manifestations of her Shakti (the power)and the tenth day is vijaya Dashami,the day of tika. On the very day people from their parent and their elders receive tika on their forehead and get blessing from them.They eat delicious food, meat and wear new clothes according to their caste and culture they do different programs too.
It is also said in the Mahavaratha, the holy book of Hindu, that when lord Rama got victory over demon Ravana people with joy and boundless happiness started celebrating this festival. In Hindu countries people from different places gather together to celebrate this festival.
Today this puja is being observed not only in Nepal, India and in other Asian countries but even in western countries too . After the resettlement process in 2008 more than 50 thousand Bhutanese are resettled in USA and in other countries. Among these people most are Hindu and are observing Durgapuja in temples or even in homes. In Manchester City, New Hampshire there is a temple of Goddess Sarraswati over 582 Chesnut street where Bhutanese hindus are observing this special occasion. Lot of hindu people were present during the puja and are worshiping the Goddess for long lasting peace celebrex without prescription and longevity of life. Not only in Manchester,

over the different states and cities this puja was observed forming group for successful program.
