Without being affected by our several trials to repatriate, we had to languish in the refugee camps for almost a couple of decades. It’s our compulsion to opt for the third country resettlement, where the fundamental requisites of an individual seem more luxurious than our past luxury. Today we have scattered ourselves across the globe. This scattering, if we want, can be turned into a titanic gathering that lasts for eternally. For this, we have no other thing to do than just love ourselves and keep our identity safe wherever we go, and wherever we are. We have been aware that several parts of the world have been terror-stricken and war-hit, just for the cause of identity. We too have to roll up our sleeves and take to arms to preserve our identity. It’s been, therefore, our breath of life to keep on contributing something for ourselves. That’s to say all the Bhutanese, irrespective of age, gender, religion, ethnicity and social status, can come and have a long deep breath of ease and comfort in this common place – bhutaneseliterature.com. In other words, we can vocalise our sentiments born by the battles we lost with our fortune, and won via letters and publish them. By doing this, we can kill two birds with a stone – contributing by enhancing our letters and tongues, and making others know about what’s there behind the scenario.
It’s not a hyperbole to say that thriving of a community rests on various bricks among which letters is a major. Along with our resettlement in different icons of the universal desktop, we can’t ascertain that there will be a folder of our identity when our culture and language is in assault due to the new synergy. So, being forewarned, we have to spare a thought on how we can securely hand over our tongue to the next generation, so that it passes on and on. It needs to be noted that we have to incline to documentation to have a favourable outcome of this. Documentation can best be done by writing which in a sense is letter that pleases readers and listeners. Language, being a means of creating literature, can be procured well, if we bring about something materialistically.
In a nutshell, we are in the age of information. Information’s being passed on from one to other in a community via communication. Media has us see how the world wags at the moment. Literature does the same thing but it underlines the issues that have been the talk of the town for considerably a long.
