First Anniversary Special
Dear writers/readers/visitors,
It is an immense gratification to write here that Bhutaneseliterature.com is commemorating its first anniversary on 7th May. With you unremitting shore up by writing, visiting and reading our site has made it well established within the short epoch of time. Started from a blog, with a petite set of vigorous Bhutanese, now it has become a full-fledged and full facilitated website. Our visitors are escalating by the dawn and dusk. It has no more remained the site within the interest of the founding members; now, it has turned to be a public asset- your property and the property of entire BHUTANESE community. With the formation of the editorial board, still it has elongated its functioning arena. We are now in the route of updating entire Bhutanese writers’ profile and the history of Bhutanese literature. We are also in the route of expanding the site with an administrative body soon. In the Bhutanese Diaspora, this site has given a common podium for the preservation of our identity by means of writing. So, to boost up the process of preserving the identity, we are going to have a grand publication of the views, re-views, features, poems, stories, essays, drama’s, messages, felicitations, etc. Thus, on behalf of the site, we would like to request all those who are interested to help us in this celebration with your precious inscriptions. Your written matter can be sent at editor.blit@yahoo.com. We will also be delighted if you also could send your portrait with the article/message/felicitation.
Some of the requirements for the articles are cited below:
1. There should be the full name, mailing address, a photograph (as far as possible), year of birth, address in Nepal and Bhutan, literary name (mention if you don’t want your full name to be mentioned, if you are in Bhutan or in abroad for study and think that your address in Bhutan may get in difficulties, please mention only the district that you belong to). These things are required to update your literary profile.
2. Bhutaneseliterature.com is a community web site. The articles sent for publication should be free from personal biases. Any article which seems contradictory in any forms will not be published.
3. Article can follow the philosophy related to capitalism, communism or any literary –isms. But politically affiliated or motivated articles will not be published. Even the articles based on the personal criticism or to the government of any country will not be published.
4. Editors have the full right to delete or replace the words of the article without hampering the meaning of the writers.
5. The acceptance of articles solely depends on the discretion of editorial board. The articles which are not accepted for publication will not be returned to the writer at any circumstance.
6. The articles sent for the publication must reach before 1st of May. Articles sent after this date may not be published.
7. Regular writers, please mention clearly which article you are sending for anniversary special.
