Through this little Window
Shiva Lal Dahal
Khudunabari, Jhapa
Through this little window,
I want to see a beautiful rainbow
Like a fairy dance
That shows a magic at once.
Through this little window,
I want to look upon the fair and fresh snow
Falling on the far-off high mountains
White and shinny during days and morns.
Through this little window
I want to see, like tear-drops at eye-brow
The dew drops hang on grasses,
Glittering as the morning Sun passes.
Through this little window,
I want to glance green grass grow
Flowers laugh and dance,
In the breeze of peace with essence.
Through this little window
I want to see the stars glow
And the Moon gently laugh
At night high above.
Through this little window,
I want to see the rain and shadow
The beauties of nature I would adore
All my life and nothing more.
So, this little window of my house,
Be they open and never close
All the night and day
Else creeps sorrow rather than gay!
