In the Youth final, Louisville Rising Star defeated Cincinnati Samba with a score of 1–0 to secure the championship title. Likewise, in the 30+ Adult category, Beldangi-1 triumphed over Khudunabari with a 2–0 victory to claim the championship.

The tournament saw participation from 10 youth teams and 8 adult teams, with league and knockout stages culminating in highly competitive and entertaining final matches.

At the opening ceremony, Mayor of Louisville Craig Greenberg expressed his excitement about such events promoting sportsmanship and unity in the community. He also honored the Bhutanese community of Kentucky by declaring August 1, 2025, as Bhutanese Community Soccer Tournament Day. Similarly, Kentucky State Representative Daniel Grossberg attended the second day’s matches, offering encouragement to players and pledging future support.

According to BSK President Bhim Koirala, the tournament was conducted smoothly in a friendly atmosphere, free from injuries or incidents. He extended heartfelt thanks to sports enthusiasts, well-wishers, sponsors, and the broader Kentucky community for their overwhelming support.

President Koirala also gave special thanks to volunteers including Tek Acharya, Leela Mishra, Buddha Subedi, Mitra Subedi, Pranjal Poudyel, Padam Poudyel, Dechen Sherpa, Chandra Kharel, Punam Tamang, along with BSK board members — Jamuna Kharel (Poudyel), Shiva Dahal, Indra Chhetri, Bam Ghising, Subhan Tamang, Kapil Kharel, Tom Neupane, and Bharat Phuyal. He further appreciated the relentless efforts of tournament coordinator Amrit Regmi and logistics manager Jitu Basnet.

A friendly women’s match was also held during the closing ceremony between teams from Columbus and Louisville, where the Louisville Women’s Team emerged victorious and took home the trophy.

The closing ceremony was jointly hosted by BSK Secretary Shiva Dahal and former footballer and GoalNepal.com ambassador Jitu Basnet. On this occasion, former BSK Chair Jivan Bista and Tika Adhikari from Freedom Health Services spoke about the significance of sports and praised BSK’s ongoing efforts in community development. The dance performance by Ashley Acharya, Briyana Dhital, Dilisha Mahat, Ishara Pokhrel, and Samira Gurung added an extra spark of excitement to the event.

Players and club leaders expressed gratitude to BSK for organizing such a large-scale tournament and for including football teams from various locations, providing them with a valuable competitive opportunity. They strongly emphasized the need for such events to continue in the future.

The tournament not only provided players a platform to perform but also delivered great entertainment to audiences. The motto of the tournament — “Safe drive, save life” — promoted awareness about safe driving practices and honored the legacy of three young football players who tragically lost their lives in a train-car accident in 2015 in Louisville.

The matches were broadcast live via BSK’s official Facebook page and GoalNepal.com, alongside a large crowd of spectators present at the venue. Over 20,000 viewers reportedly watched the games virtually.

This grand sporting event served as a source of entertainment, social unity, reunion among players, and inspiration for the younger generation, according to attendees.
