Homage to the Fairy Land

Poet

I’d placed full reliance upon thee
But how it shifted out of the way!
A far cry made me sustain deeply
Keeping up appearances

I’m searching for joy.
The unseen touches as though like the fire
And the dreadful dream
I’m now thinking of the spring so far,
And keep the land’s favour up to the beam.
May the oaths turn down!
And cover the bravery with the cowardice.
May there be black image in the ground
But the land favours me with no ease.
Thou are far and away in griefs
Neither the summer nor the winter diverges thee;
I’m not allowed here to meet thee by trips
But I pray, let me watch thee in dreams in perpetuity.
