IF I DIE BEFORE THE SUNSET
IF I DIE BEFORE THE SUNSET

If I die
before the sunset
with the twilight
beside my deathbed,
let my soul
still feel the
warmth of green Earth
that nourished me
thousands of years
before I was born .
No candles. No flowers.
no prayers. No cries.
and beyond that
no madness
that destroys
my blessed silence
on Earth.
And if I die
after the sunset
when moon begins to smile
from far, far
beyond the horizon
over the hills
over the green meadows
and cowsheds
and the poor leaking roofs
who share the
same light in midnight,
do not mourn for me
let my body be buried
under the shadows of
the MOON where
my toddler feet witnessed
the first morning dews
in the morning .
If I die at midnight
let the star-lights
creep into my eyes
and the cold winds
touch my heart
deeper than the space
and let death itself
rejoice my death
on the only Earth, not in heaven!
