Our Literary Journey till date..
Bhutaneseliterature.com once again is here letting our invaluable readers, contributors and well-wishers know that, today the clock has signaled us the completion of the 4th year of our joint mission. We are in the mission of publishing and archiving your creations and making hundreds of readers around the world enjoy reading your works. Managed by Literature Council of Bhutan (LCOB), Bhutaneseliterature.com is a common dais of Bhutanese literature. And, we have become successful on doing so to some extent.
The simple blog started by some youths on 7th Of May 2009 has become a full-fledged site and a common forum for Bhutanese and non-Bhutanese literary compatriots today. We regard your precious contributions as our building bricks. In the past years, we, through this same forum have been stating that;
– A writer takes a long time to give a creation to the readers. He/she artistically presents the pains and sorrows, woes and worries, grieves and tragedies, hopes and aspirations, sentiments and romance and many more of the time he/she lives. To a considerable extent, today’s Bhutanese writers are in most awkward time, the time that demands every drop of their valuable sweat for minimum survival but yet they are writing-
‘Poets are the unacknowledged legislators of the world’- P.B. Shelly
To its true theme, we regard with great appreciation that you (writers) are the priceless assets of this forum. Thus, yourintellectual contribution is exceedingly adored.
The Bhutaneseliterature.com, which has archived more than 1400 creations within these four years of its inception, is the first and extensive online directory for Bhutanese literature. Integration of Radio Srijana to Bhutaneseliterature.com is another important move that we have taken to provide our listeners with entertainment and information. Special audio episodes and the episodes under AaprabaskaaSuseliharu are all integrated to radio Srijana, thus making it a bigger radio platform that airs multiple programs.
Last but not least, we always expect numbers of volunteers come forward with fervor to work for literature. We welcome every interested individual.
