Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow
Jalan Bhandari
Adelaide
My eyes are wide and open,
My ears not yet dumb
And my senses all alert,
Roaming away beyond horizon,
Beyond the sky and the deep ocean
To peep into my yesterday
Trying to sing my boyhood songs,
Trying to gather my boyhood plays,
Though that never comes but sways
As if a bob of a pendulum clock,
Waving and streaming to and fro
Just to keep me stand strong
In my today’s daily lovely song
And my feeble adultery games,
Yes my limbs numb and tremble,
My heart weakens and gives a shake,
Letters, words and my decision fake,
Like I’m not creating all this,
Neither for yesterday, today
Nor for the unseen tomorrow,
Just enjoying my miraculous sorrow,
Will anyone lend me my fortune
Of yesterday, today and tomorrow?
Such that I can in my deals
Lend from you from my yesterday,
Use for my ongoing today
And return you in my unknown tomorrow.
