The Unsung Hero of the Highway
Khem Rizal
Cincinnati, Ohio
Beneath the endless open sky,
He follows roads that twist and bend,
Across the stones, the dust, and storms,
Where every mile tests him again.
The highways whisper silent stories,
Of sleepless nights and distant lands;
With heavy wheels and weary eyes,
He carries dreams in calloused hands.
He rests beside the lonely rivers,
Or on the roadside through the night,
While far away his loved ones wait,
Praying for his safe return and light.
The world receives what he delivers,
But rarely knows the price he pays;
A life of courage, silent sacrifice,
Written across his countless days.
The roads are never always gentle,
Filled with storms, darkness, and strain;
Through endless miles and changing weather,
He drives through silence and pain.
Behind the wheel, a hero travels,
Through every season, every scar;
A truck driver carries more than cargo-
He carries hope from near and far
